Chocolate City is a first for Wilton Manors: the town’s only Black-owned LGBTQ+ bar, opened around 2025 and self-described as ‘the heartbeat of Wilton Manors nightlife.’ On a strip whose institutions skew one demographic, Chocolate City widens the room — and the energy backs up the tagline.
The program runs nightlife-first: DJs, dancing, and a crowd that shows up to celebrate. As the newest addition to the corridor’s bar map it’s still writing its traditions, but ‘only one of its kind in town’ is a strong opening chapter.
