Colohatchee Park
8.5 acres with a 7-acre mangrove preserve, boardwalk over the water, and the town's dog park.
Colohatchee Park is Wilton Manors’ wild side: 8.5 acres on the Middle River of which seven are mangrove preserve, crossed by a boardwalk that puts herons, mangrove crabs, and actual Florida within a five-minute drive of the Drive. The dog park — permit required — makes it the social hub of the town’s four-legged residents.
The mangrove boardwalk is the draw for humans: a genuine nature walk in the middle of the Island City, best in the morning before the heat. Between the preserve, the picnic shelters, and the dog run, it’s the park locals actually use.
At 1975 NE 15th Ave, open 8am–dusk but closed Tuesdays (the city’s own pages disagree about Wednesdays — call midweek). Details at wiltonmanors.gov.
