Pride Center at Equality Park

The Pride Center at Equality Park is the beating heart of LGBTQ+ Wilton Manors — a sprawling campus at 2040 N Dixie Hwy that hosts support groups, health services, social clubs, senior programs, and hundreds of events a year. Most gay neighborhoods have a community center; very few have a campus, and the difference shows in everything the neighborhood does.

The weekly calendar is its own ecosystem: recovery meetings, men’s and women’s groups, health screenings, game nights, dance classes, town halls — if it brings queer South Florida together, odds are it happens here. The center works as the neighborhood’s connective tissue, the place where the community that parties together on the Drive also takes care of itself.

And twice a year, the Pride Center takes over the whole city. It’s the organizing force behind Wilton Manors’ two signature blowouts: Stonewall Pride in June, when the Drive becomes one of Florida’s biggest street festivals, and Wicked Manors on Halloween, when it becomes South Florida’s largest costume party. If you’re planning a visit around either, this is the institution to thank.

Doors are open Monday through Friday from 10am to 9pm and Saturdays noon to 5 (closed Sundays). Visitors welcome — pick up an events calendar and you’ll understand the neighborhood faster than any bar crawl can teach it.
